The mares of Spanish Eyes Ranch are royalty in their own right. They have excellent conformation and temperament which is passed on to their foals. Their pedigrees are impeccable, with Urquijo and Terry bloodlines, with a strong Carthusian heritage.
CONTESSA DE GALIELO is a bright colored bay mare sired by Galileo out of the imported Spanish mare, Serrana. Serrana's pedigree goes back to the National stud, which pre-dates the Military stud. Galileo is our champion foundation stallion with strong Urquijo bloodlines, thus his magnificent, animated, free movement. Galileo has sired numerous national and international champions of exceptional qualiity and athleticism.
Contessa has proven to be an exceptional dam, producing extremely high quality foals with substance, temperament and her bright bay coloring.
COMETITA SER is a strong, compact, very substantial grey mare imported in utero from Ganaderia Ocho Estrellas, the breeding stud of Tomas Batalla of Costa Rica. Her sire is the multi-champion, Estepeno, an Atlantico son of Urquijo breeding.
Cometita and Rocky
Cometita's dam was TB Melody, a Ufano daughter of Terry and Urquijo breeding. She also has very old foundation bloodlines. Cometita has produced foals of strength, movement and loving temperaments.
LUCIDA WC is the latest addition the the Spanish Eyes Ranch family. She is a black mare sired by RICO MHF, 2006 IALHA National Reining Champion. She is a Navarre GF and Dejado granddaughter.
She is sweet and perky and we are currently in the process of finding her a husband for the 2010 breeding season.
